FYI
J.W. Stannard chimes is no longer in
business, They sold out to the "Encore Group" a large national
wholesale gift supplier who turned around and started having the
Stannard line of wind chimes produced in Chinanad now it seems as
though the "Encore Group has also gone under for what ever reason???
Maybe too much junk from China??

Wind Chime Tips
Chime Tube Stop Ringing?
1.Check
inside the tube for spider nest, wasp nest and Gecko's & small green
frogs love the tubes for a home.
2.
Check the Nylon and plastic eyelets in each section of
tubing as they will shrink and crack over time, become loose and kill the
natural vibration which produces the sound you hear. Nothing
Performs and last as long as Solid Brass Eyelets.
3.
Does your Chime Tubes have rubber "O" rings near the bottom of the
tubes? They are actually stopping the natural vibration of the tube
thus dampening the quality of the tone produced. They were meant to
prevent the tubes from clanging together but for the most part it
does not work. Take them off and you will notice a longer sustained
ring from your wind chime. If they become annoying simply put a
rubber band around all of the tubes.
4.Anything inside the tubes or
touching the outer walls of the tubing including the
suspension cord will interfere with or totally stop the natural
vibration of the tubes. Rubber rings, get rid of them.
These rubber rings were suppose to
prevent the tubing from banging together. If the wind is that high
bring them inside to help prevent damage or simply put a rubber band
around all of the tubes. |
